For your wooden stuff, you might consider a simple staple. Easily removed and the holes are so small they wouldn't be noticed. Write whatever you want on a price tag and staple it to the back of your item, or into the ends.
For canvas, you might have an errant corner in the back where you could use a pricing gun? I use a price gun that has a needle which you insert into a price tag with any information you want on there. You squeeze the trigger and a 2 or 3 inch plastic tag sticks in the item. I price everything that I take to a show so that there's no question of how much it cost.
I went to a quilting show this weekend and there was a woman there that didn't have prices on half of her stuff. If you asked her how much it was, she was wishy washy with her "guesses." Besides she was busy measuring out lace or ribbon -- she was alone in her booth. Ugh. She had some nice stuff, but I wasn't interested when she hemmed and hawed with the pricing. I would rather do without than be sized up for what she thought I could afford.
