On January 19, 2024, The Guangdong Provincial Optoelectronics Technology Association organized a scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting on "Research and Development of Light Negative Oxygen Ions (LNOI) Technology to Improve Space Environmental Quality" .

On January 19, 2024, The Guangdong Provincial Optoelectronics Technology Association organized a scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting on "Research and Development of Light Negative Oxygen Ions (LNOI) Technology to Improve Space Environmental Quality" , LNOI technology is jointly completed by Guangdong Cosio Lighting Co., Ltd  and the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of South China University of Technology, and the National Environmental Photocatalytic Engineering Technology Research Center of Fuzhou University. Among them, Academician Liu Sheng is the leader of the appraisal team. Academician Liu Sheng is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, executive dean of the Institute of Industrial Science, dean of the School of Power and Mechanical Engineering of Wuhan University, deputy dean of the School of Microelectronics, professor, and doctoral supervisor. He has long been engaged in Integrated circuit, LED and microsensor packaging and reliability theory and cutting-edge technology research.  After evaluation by the appraisal committee, the comprehensive technical level of light negative oxygen ions (LNOI) technology has reached the international advanced level, among which the self-cleaning technology has reached an international leading position. The innovative integration of results has injected new vitality into the development of light negative oxygen ions (LNOI) technology.
